1992, May: Seminar on ”Images of Society, Nature and Science through Environmental Education – Dealing with Complexity in Environmental Education”, Perugia/Italy.

1992, September: Seminar on ”Economy and Ecology” Sunder/Germany.

1993, May: Seminar on ”Values in Environmental Education” Stirling/Scotland.

1992 – 94: In-Depth Studies on Environmental Education Policy on Australia, Austria, Finland, Germany, Hungary and Norway

1994, March: International Conference on Environmental Education Policy and Practice ” in Braunschweig/Germany

1995, June: ENSI starts as decentralised network under the umbrella of OECD/CERI in Vienna, Austria.

1996, January: Scotland takes over the ENSI secretariat

1999, December: International conference ”From the Pilot to the Mainstream” in co-operation with the Norwegian Ministry of Education, Research and Church Affairs in Hadeland/ Norway.

2000, August: International workshop ”Role and Function of Principals in Sustainable School Development” in Weilburg/Germany.

2000, September: International conference ”Interdisciplinary Challenges in Teacher Education in the Light of Environmental Education” in Luzern/ Switzerland.

2001, May: International Workshop on ”Teacher Education and Action Research” in Budapest/ Hungary

2001, October: International Workshop ”Learnscapes Across the Globe” in co-operation with OECD Programme on Educational Building (PEB) and the New South Wales Department of Education and Training, Australia, in Reichenau/ Austria.

2001, October: European Workshop to prepare applications for projects at the European Commission. As result ENSI members developed and put forward three applications to the European Commission.

2002, March 1st: Application for the EU COMENIUS III Network “School Development through Environmental Education“ SEED sent to EU

2002, June: Germany takes over the ENSI secretariat.

2002, October: Contract with EU on the SEED network

2003, September: International conference ENSI-SEED-conference “Sustainable community and school development” in Szeged/Hungary; planning of a COMENIUS 2 project on Teacher Education in ESD

2004, March: Application for the EU COMENIUS 2 Project “Competency based curriculum development for education for sustainable development in initial teaching training and in-service training institutions (CSCT)” sent to EU

2004, April: International ENSI-SEED Teacher training seminar on Action Research in international school partnerships in Frascati/Italy
