In these last 3 years, the ENSI project has not received any support from the Italian Ministry of Education, and the participation in the international network has been assured by the INVALSI. By consequence, the national work has been mainly devoted to the communication of ENSI products and proposals and to the support of the national initiatives for the UN Decade for ESD.

The national coordinator represented the ENSI network:

• in the scientific committee for the DESD in the UNESCO Italian Commission, presenting DESD and the ENSI proposals (Quality criteria booklet) in many schools and local initiatives
• in the Ministry of Education committee for EE and ESD, collaborating in the developing of proposals for the new curricula and in the construction of a new web site for ‘students well being’
• in the inter-ministerial committee for the realization of the UNECE strategy
• in the National Forum for ESD held in Torino in June 2007 by initiative of the Ministry of Environment.

In 2007, the ENSI work and products has been presented also to

• a master course for EE and ESD educators in Bologna
• a master course for Sustainable Tourism Operators in Roma
• a continuous education course for Local Guides in Tuscany

The ENSI work on Quality Criteria has also been presented in the International meeting on Education for Sustainable Consumption organised by the Italian Ministry of Environment in Genova, on April 2007, following the Marrakech process and the Johannesburg Plan on Sustainable consumption and production.
