National Coordinators

The international ENSI network is made useful in connection with the following tasks and activities in Denmark

Expert assistance to the Ministry of Education in Denmark:

Concerning a clarification of the concept of ESD for the Danish context.
Outlining the innovative new potential of ESD compared to existing experience and practice with Environmental Education and Health Education in Denmark for primary, secondary and vocational school.
Developing a ten year strategy for the development of ESD in Denmark.
Communicating results of the above mentioned activities and engaging in awareness rising related to ESD and the Decade for ESD in Denmark.
Organising 4 Dialogue Meetings for NGO’s, educational institutions, organisations and other interest groups in order to explore national challenges of ESD and to receive feed back to ongoing work.
Organizing action research and development in a number of primary and secondary schools to develop further experience for reflections related to the development of ESD in Denmark. (In planning autumn 2007)
